Download Warned Off free – save £3 ($4.99)

You can download the racing thriller, Warned Off, by Richard Pitman and Joe McNally completely free between August 1st and August 3rd 2012. Outside of those days it costs £3 ($4.99 on amazon.com).

Why are we doing this? All profits for the book during 2012 are going to Kidney Research. Offering free downloads helps push it up Amazon’s popularity charts so when it stops it’s free run, it is, hopefully, much higher than its current position. Many Amazon readers shop using the popularity charts alone so we’re hoping the charity will get a long term benefit from this free offer.

Warned Off is a Dick Francis-type, pacy thriller set in UK horseracing. It is the first of our Eddie Malloy series of five books.

Here are some reviews from the print version (By Hodder & Stoughton)

‘It’s a racing certainty that Warned Off will offer a challenge to Dick Francis. It’s packed with authentic dialogue and characters.’ Today

‘A very professional racing thriller … lots of rough stuff, plenty of racing background and action all mixed up with a love interest combine to provide a fast-moving story.’ Publishing News

‘The plot is from the racing stockpot … fast and violent.’ The Times

At the moment Warned Off is available only to Kindle owners or those who have the free Kindle app on their PC, tablet or phone.

So if you are looking for even more excitement after Frankel has hacked up at Goodwood today, Warned Off has around 70,000 words to keep you occupied for a few hours and give you a break from the Olympics.
